As a 5 year old, Suerte was the youngest horse the farm had seen in 20 years, his arrival marked the beginning of a dream becoming reality.
The Start of a New Chapter:
2017 was a notably difficult year for Pover-T-Farm. A year of loss, change, and ultimately the arrival of our first rescue horse.
On the 8th of December 2017, with the amazing help of friends and family, tag #316 was pulled from the slaughter pipeline and brought to Pover-T-Farm for a second chance.
2020 Update:
Suerte continues to impress with his willingness to please. While he has been started under saddle, progress is slow, he has a spunky attitude and though he listens well, his tendency to let loose a few bucks keeps us cautious. Physically he is in great health and he has a very high aptitude for trick training :D
2025 Update:
To no fault of his own, Suerte is still only green broke. This year volunteers have started to work with Suerte and get him used to being handled by multiple people. The hope is to start liberty work as we get him in shape to ride.
